A practical seven-day FACT familiarity cycle:

Day 1: short mixed baseline + error log
Day 2: reading rules + writing accuracy
Day 3: percentages, rates and multi-step math
Day 4: map orientation and route tracing
Day 5: character discussions using integrity, teamwork and composure
Day 6: mixed practice + explanation review
Day 7: light review + booking, ID, travel and accommodation check

For every missed question, record:

• the skill area;
• why your answer failed;
• the correct rule;
• what you will do next time.

The explanation is more useful than one isolated score.

Five FACT facts worth saving:

1. OFAI reports pass/fail only. You do not receive a numeric mark.
2. A successful certificate can take up to three business days to appear.
3. The retest wait is 15 days after a first unsuccessful attempt and 30 days after later unsuccessful attempts.
4. The current fee is C$75 + HST per attempt.
5. Mechanical reasoning is not listed among OFAI’s current published FACT constructs.

The ordinary Stage One certificate validity is 24 months. Toronto Job ID 65987 makes a posting-specific exception: a previously passed expired Stage One certificate is accepted.
