Firefighter Recruitment by City

Every fire department in Canada runs its own recruitment. Toronto doesn't hire the way Ottawa does, and the test you sit for in Mississauga may not be the one Brampton uses. This is your starting point: pick your city below for that department's hiring process, the tests it uses, current openings, and what the job pays.

Why does city matter so much? There's no single "Canadian firefighter" application. Each service sets its own eligibility rules, application windows, physical and aptitude testing, and pay scale. Knowing your target department's process before the posting opens is the difference between a strong application and a wasted one.

Browse every live opening on our firefighter jobs board, and once you know which test you're up against, start drilling with our firefighter aptitude test prep. Then dig into your department below.
