At the end of a tiring shift, a teammate suggests copying yesterday’s equipment count because “nothing was used.”
Which response is strongest professionally?
Discussion answer: C — explain that the actual check is required, complete it together, and address any discrepancy through the proper process.
Why:
• integrity — the record reflects a real check;
• teamwork — solve the task together instead of escalating theatrically;
• composure — correct the shortcut without public humiliation;
• accountability — use the proper process if something is wrong.
This is an original professional-reasoning discussion. It is not a claim about the exact format, scoring key or wording of FACT’s Personal Characteristics section.

Which sentence is the clearest and grammatically correct?
Answer: A.
“At 09:40, the crew inspected the panel, reset the alarm and notified the property manager.”
Why it works:
• inspected, reset and notified use parallel past-tense verbs;
• the actor is clear;
• the sequence is easy to follow.
Method: compare the options at the first point of difference. Test verb agreement and tense, then punctuation, then clarity. Re-read the surviving sentence once as a whole.

North is up. The station is at (1,1), the call is at (4,3), and two road segments are closed.
Which five-block route reaches the call without crossing a closure?
Answer: B — north, north, east, east, east.
Route B reaches row 3 first, then travels east to the call. The other three options cross one of the red closed segments.
Reusable map method:
1. Orient north.
2. Mark every closure or direction limit.
3. Trace one segment at a time.
4. Confirm the final coordinate and block count.
Save the map and try tracing every wrong option too. Knowing exactly where it fails turns one question into four route checks.

Pause before the reveal:
A 1,800-litre training tank is 35% full. Add 420 litres. Approximately what percentage full is it now?
A 46.7%
B 53.3%
C 58.3%
D 65.0%
Answer: C — 58.3%.
35% of 1,800 = 630 litres.
630 + 420 = 1,050 litres.
1,050 ÷ 1,800 × 100 = 58.3%.
The habit to keep: turn every percentage into an amount before adding or subtracting, then convert back at the end.
Save this Reel and send it to someone preparing for a scheduled or future firefighter aptitude test.

Choose A, B, C or D before you swipe.
This completely original Reading Ability drill tests one transferable habit: find the exact sentence that controls the decision.
The tempting mistake is to notice that the fuel and radio checks passed, then ignore the separate rule for missing medical supplies.
Answer: C — record and report the missing mask.
Reusable method:
1. Locate the sentence containing the condition.
2. Match every required action to the facts.
3. Eliminate answers that ignore words such as before, unless or until.
Comment your answer before the reveal, then save the method for the next practice session.
