Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to fires, medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and natural disasters
- Provide fire suppression services
- Deliver emergency medical services
- Participate in technical rescue operations
- Support fire prevention initiatives
- Conduct public education activities
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and mental resilience
- Work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Meet the minimum qualifications set by Port Moody Fire Rescue
- Successfully complete a competitive recruitment process that includes psychometric evaluation, physical tests, interviews, and background checks (including police information check)
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and mental resilience
