Description

Welland Fire and Emergency Services is now accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Firefighter. Welland residents, looking for a challenging opportunity, and with a strong aspiration to serve your community, are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current, permanent resident of the City of Welland
  • Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
  • Valid Class "G" Ontario Driver's Licence, with a clean driving record
  • Current First Aid and CPR (Level C) Certification
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Information

Applicants are required to complete an Application Package, available here or from Human Resources, City Hall, 60 East Main Street, 2nd Floor, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. The complete package, including a resume, is to be submitted to the attention Human Resources by no later than 16:00 on Thursday, February 28th, 2019.

Open House:

Although not required, all prospective applicants are encouraged to attend the open house on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 10:00am–12:00pm at the King Street Fire Station (636 King Street).
