Description
You will operate, inspect and maintain all fire preventive, fire fighting, rescue and security related equipment. You will carry out regular training, patrols, fire prevention activities and inspections, as scheduled.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will respond to and perform the duties associated with all types of fire fighting, ambulance, rescue and other emergency calls. All other duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
Minimum Qualifications
You will have High School graduation and be a certified N.F.P.A. 1001 – Fire Fighter II, or equivalent certification, with one (1) year experience, following certification, in Structural fire fighting. You will possess and maintain an EMR II certificate. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all trade related safety and operating regulations. You must possess a valid certificate in First Aid (Standard) and a valid Class 4 driver’s licence with a 09 endorsement (air brake).
