Description
We are currently looking to build our wildfire division. Candidates need to have valid S-100 and sufficient experience. In addition to wildfire our services we offer include Industrial Firefighting, Haz Mat, Confined Space, Rope Rescue (high angle and steep slope), Auto Extrication, Swift Water and general extraction of injured workers. We are currently operating from Burnaby to Edmonton with various clients. Workers need to be physically fit and capable of performing a rescue. Employees are required to work within a team environment to complete truck and equipment checks, to attend worksite meetings, to be prepared for emergency response, and to train with their crew. We are looking for responsible, keen and approachable individuals to be part of our growing company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in fire prevention and inspection programs
Rescue fire victims, and administer emergency medical aid
Operate pumps connected to high-pressure hoses
Organize fire caches, positioning equipment for the most effective response
Set up and maintain sprinkler systems
Minimum Qualifications
Secondary school graduate
Current wildfire S100 or S185
Current OFA Level 3
Valid class 5 driver's license with clean driver’s abstract
Preferred Qualifications
Industrial experience will be considered an asset but not essential
Experience working with First Nations strongly preferred
Working knowledge with the following programs - SharePoint, Excel, Google, WhatsApp
WHMIS, H2S Alive
Canadian Safety Council UTV Operator
Confined space rescue, operations level
