Description

Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Firefighter Recruitment Competition. The purpose of this competition is to establish an eligibility list for future employment opportunities within the department. All applicants are encouraged to review the Recruitment Handbook attached to this posting and ensure that they upload all necessary documents for the Recruitment Panel's review. The application process will close on September 18, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

Category:

  • Participate in firefighting and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct fire prevention inspections and public education programs.
  • Maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles.
  • Engage in physical training and drills.
  • Assist in community events and outreach programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • NFPA 1001 Level II IFSAC / ProBoard Accreditation
  • SCOP licensable EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) or higher
  • Current CPR Level HCP
  • Class 3A Driver's License with "G" endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous firefighting experience
  • Advanced medical training
