Want to build on your firefighting career and be a part of a great crew? The firefighter's role is not easy: it involves a high level of personal stress and requires dedication and resilience.
As an employee of Unlimited Safety Services, you have the opportunity to work as an industrial and municipal firefighter, you will respond to emergency calls requiring rescue operations, medical aid and firefighting tactics. Unlimited Safety Services provides service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our full-time firefighters work two week on two weeks off schedule, including weekends and holidays. Accommodations are provided in the oil field and at our two live-in fire halls.
Certified Firefighter + Alberta Registered EMR or Unrestricted 3Q/DZ Driver:
Starting at: $900.00 per week retainer & $140.00 per day job site bonus
Move Up To: $1, 100 per week retainer $ 190 per day job site bonus within 3-months (your own pace)

Starting at: $1,100 per week retainer & $140.00 per day job site bonus
Move Up To: $1,200 per week retainer & $190.00 per day job site bonus within 3-months (your own pace)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide fire protection, firefighting and other emergency services;
- Perform required duties at the station and on-site as per USS policies and procedures;
- Operate company vehicles safely and conduct pre/post-trip inspections in accordance with Unlimited Safety Services policy, highway traffic laws and any rules of operation in effect on privately owned roads;
- Participate in safety meetings with emphasis on hazards;
- Maintain a respectful work environment by demonstrating positive work place behaviour;
- Comply with company policies regarding code of conduct, uniform, dress, and appearance, as assigned;
- Ensure all required safety paperwork is complete, organized and submitted;
- Complete required fire and rescue training courses;
- Other tasks assign.
Minimum Qualifications
Prerequisites:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- NFPA 100-1 Fire Firefighting Practices level I & II
- NFPA 472 or 1072 Hazardous material Awareness & Hazardous material Operations
- CPR/AED Level C
- H2s Alive
- Common Safety Orientation
- Emergency Medical Responder with ACP registration (required for full-time status)
- Class 3Q or provincial equivalent (required fir full-time status)
- Clean criminal background history and vulnerable sector check
- Clean driver five-year driver's abstract
- Are you willing to report for work within 30-days of acceptance?
- Ability to commute to Onoway/Alberta Beach, AB
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a firefighter;
- Previous experience in the oil & gas industry;
- NFPA 1006- Technical Rescue;
- NFPA 1002- Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator.
