Description
The Firefighter will be responsible for fire suppression, driving and operating fire apparatus under emergency conditions, inspecting and maintenance of related auxiliary firefighting equipment, training and development of volunteer firefighters and instructing fire prevention and public education. The firefighter will be a First Responder for medical emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate (OSSD) or college program
- NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2 preferred or equivalent firefighter training and
- NFPA 1002 or
- NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Operations
- Must possess and maintain current certification in “Standard” First Aid with CPR Level “C”.
- Must possess a valid Class “DZ” License with a clean driving
- Basic computer skills are considered an
- Satisfactory completion of medical examination and physical agility
- Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector
