Description
The Power Workers’ Union Hiring Hall requires individuals to work as Emergency Service Maintainers through the PWU Hiring Hall. The PWU supplies casual resources to Bruce Power to support their work programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Emergency Service Maintainers perform emergency service response for actual site incidents for fire, medical, search and rescue and HAZMAT. They perform maintenance and inspection of all emergency related equipment and systems and emergency service dispatch duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Community College certificate – Pre-Service Firefighter NFPA 1001 and 1002 OR current Municipal or full-time Fire Department – minimum 2 years’ experience
- Standard First Aid
- Current York University Firefighter Fitness Assessment (within the last six months)
- Valid G License (D-Z License would be an asset)
