Irwin’s Safety is on the lookout for certified emergency rescue professionals in BC for work on a project near Revelstoke starting in January. This role will include working as a Confined Space and High Angle Rescue Technician, and providing support to Irwin's Service Leads as required.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be certified in NFPA 1001 Level 1&2- Pro Board/IFSAC Seal Required
• Must have confined space operations training from a recognized provider
• Must be certified in rope rescue operations
• Hazmat Operations – Pro Board/IFSAC Seal Required
• Must possess valid Fall Pro and OFA3 certificates
• Minimum 1 year rescue experience (2 years preferred)
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
• Experience with gas detectors (preferably Industrial Scientific)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment CPAT physical assessment
• OFA 3 with Transportation Endorsement
Preferred Qualifications
• 2 years or more rescue experience preferred
• Valid Confined space attendant ticket is preferred but training will be provided
• IRATA rope access certification would be considered an asset
• Experience with Industrial Scientific gas detectors
• ICS 100 Certified is preferred but training can be provided
Additional Information
• Job Types: Full-time, Casual
• Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour – Compensation is experience dependent
• Overtime pay
• Work Location: Mica Dam – outside of Mica Townsite
